While most network TV series have had to have projects sidelined due to current events, this meant little chance for TV shows to film on a regular schedule. However, that does not mean that there is nothing new to watch this upcoming winter.

The December schedule has been reserved for a few show premieres and meant for a midseason cliffhanger in the past decade. This year will be a complete difference from last year’s usual model of how things go. TV series planning on being released later in 2021 will be released early to maintain morale and give the public more options as everyone remains inside during this season. The streaming services have become more of a way to cope and process the past year. As a result, services have exploded but increased expectations of what is to come.

The new products that are releasing for consumption will not only allow minds to ease but also be a way of getting caught up with information that is released this year. Perhaps in the future of streaming will have the foresight to come up with new systems. Only time will tell, but for now, pass the time with these releases:

Big Mouth (Netflix, December 4th)

Growing up is the weirdest thing for anyone to go through. Big Mouth embodies this concept but adds trauma, taboo, and adult humor into the mix. Based on the trailer for season 4, the audience can expect anxiety to focus on this quirky cartoon. Packed with innuendos, chaos, and puberty monster shenanigans, the voices Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Maya Rudolph, and Jordan Peele will keep you entertained. Created, written, and produced by Family Guy writer Andrew Goldberg and the showrunners, this comic will have you in tears.

Big Mouth

Brassic (Hulu, December 4th)

Being an adult is something many of us will admit: it’s expensive. And the show ‘Brassic’ paints a picture of how being an adult, broke and with no prospects, is reality but with much-needed humor of it all. Set to premiere on Hulu, this show follows Vinny and his pals for so much more crazy antics with a dose of mischief and reality. While they may not always have the best intentions as petty thieves, their friendship is as thick as thieves. Based in a fictional northern England town known as Hawley, get ready for the antics and touches of humor schemed cooked up with this season. Created by showrunner Joe Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst, this comedy will have you in tears through mood and raw emotion.

Selena: The Series (Netflix, December 4th)

Over twenty years ago, before Beyonce, there was Selena. Specifically, Selena Quintanilla-Perez was one of the pioneers in breaking the glass ceiling as the most popular idol during her time. Now, a complete story on her life—written and permitted by her family—is hitting the streaming deck. Her story takes the place of her entire experience of what is publicly documented, photographed, and told by those who knew most. This docuseries will give you a glimpse into the star that was gone too soon from the world.

It has only been one season since HBO Max released Euphoria, and this show has taken everyone by storm. Season 2 was meant to come out sometime in 2020, put on hold with some exceptions due to unforeseen circumstances.
The Stand (CBS All Access, December 17th)

Based on the 1978 book by Steven King, this series takes place in the distant but dystopian future filled with magic: good and terror. Set in a time where the world was decimated by a plague that swept through most of the world, a handful of survivors remain as humanity’s last hope. Despite this, good and evil have manifested into elemental forces that can mean the eventual showdown: good vs. evil. On the “good” side sits a handful of survivors and the wisdom of an elder known as Mother Abigail, played by Whoopi Goldberg. On the side of evil sits a man consumed by the nightmares and manifestations of evil whose goal is to use his powers to stop Mother Abigail and the survivors from finding peace. This limited series comes highly anticipated against the current event climate. Developed and directed by Josh Boone, the award-winning director of ‘The Fault In Our Stars,’ this series will do more than strike fear but tung at your heartstrings.

Letterkenny (Hulu, December 26th)

Set in a Canadian fictional rural town, the once small series on YouTube will release its latest season. Written by the original content creators Keeso and Jacob Tierney, Letterkenny returns to the streaming service. A town full of interesting characters that also challenge rural media portrays this series always brings a laugh. Each character gets a special uniqueness to the screen that makes each episode unique for anyone who watched the series. Neither one name is the focus the way most TV series follow, which makes Letterkenny so unique. Whether it is the out of town hockey team coming in and making a mess or the scheming failed attempts of winning back a high school sweetheart, this series will keep you on your toes for the entire time.

Nowadays millions of people from different cultures and walks of life are united by one thing — watching series. Shows can grab your attention for the whole night and you won’t be able to sleep until the end. And what can be better than spending autumn evenings with close people, pizza and new series? Or what is more exhausting than waiting and counting days before the start of a new season of the favorite show?

We want to make your September cozy and comfortable, and bring some new emotions and topics to discuss with friends at the same time. And maybe even leave you sleepless for a couple of weekends!

There is a list of 15 new and current episodes on your respective calendars that need to be noted now:

This latest look at the top class’s excess focuses on a Southern family, whose fortunes are based on televangelism. In this American version of the series from 2016-17 in New Zealand, Kim Cattrall and Gerald McRaney will be the family heads. The new version of the series was developed and directed by Director Tate Taylor, “The Help.”

An “unless you know, the better” approach is used in this original “Utopia” range, released in the United Kingdom from 2013-14, so let’s say this American update follows a group of fans of comics who think they’ve trodden into something far more significant than their shared fandom. This adaptation’s casting will finally be led by Sasha Lane, Rainn Wilson, Desmin Borges, and John Cusack to the screens after the initial HBO project has begun. The executive producer and showrunner of this series were Gillian Flynn, whose last effort to bring a known British property into a new Chicago environment led to one of the lowest-rated films in the previous decade.

A two-part drama about events that lead to the firing of FBI Director James Comey appears to be an odd use of all time and energy for the creative team. If you go fantasy, you can take the titles at the beginning of 2017 worse than Jeff Daniels as Comey and Brendan Gleeson as Donald Trump, followed by the growing credits of “Joe Lo Truglio as Jeff Sessions,” “Peter Coyote as Robert Mueller,” and “Scoot McNairo as Rod Rosenstein.” “The Last Tycoon” of Scott Fitzgerald.

At the beginning of this season, the production was stopped in the spring. A continuation of one of the most exciting TV series anthology shifts its focus towards Kansas in the 1950s, as rival criminal forces in the city. This is another deep-bench ensemble led by Chris Roch, Jessie Buckley, Ben Whishaw, and Jason Schwartzman, with the creator Noah Hawley returning once again to the dual chairs this year. Episodes are released on FX and part of the growing list of shows with Hulu available day after day.
